The Point Theatre was Dublin's primary concert and events venue. It operated from 1988 to 2007 and was located on the North Wall Quay of the River Liffey, amongst the Dublin docklands. The Point was closed in the summer of 2007 for a major redevelopment and underwent a rebranding as The O2 Dublin in July 2008.
Prior to its redevelopment, the Point decided to seek members for its yet-to-be new and exclusive private members club. As there was no sponsor to hinge the branding on, it was decided that the membership pack should tie in with the look and feel of the existing club, which had recently undergone renovations. The club itself was to remain intact as part of the original, protected Victorian building.
To compliment the dark colours, bespoke lighting and sumptuous furnishings of the club, the pack was designed as a satin lined velvet box with a de-bossed foil logo. Contained within the box were a set of four information cards, application form with pre-paid envelope and personalised laminate. The cards, envelope and laminate were printed on a combination of Chromolux and SKIN Curious Collection papers, with spot gloss UV varnish and foil block.

As a result of the founding partner program at The O2 Dublin, Audi became the sponsor for the former VIP private members club in 2009. This meant a redesign of the club’s identity—logo; membership pack; website; club collateral including venue and concert passes, parking permits and laminates—adhering strictly to Audi’s brand guides.
